Duke’s undergraduate students are a very active social group. Duke has a strong Greek Life. About 1 in 3 males and 1 out of 2 females are members of a Greek organization.
There are also 400 student clubs and organizations, including numerous student government, special interest, and service organizations.
Athletics, especially men’s basketball, is a significant part of Duke’s social life. Duke’s students are recognized as avid fans of all of their collegiate athletics. Since tickets to all varsity sports are free to students, setting up a line of tents weeks in advance of big games are the only certain way of being admitted.
